A New Litter of Irish Setters in 2025
Pure Elegance & Perfect Training
At Dearg na hEireann we follow Kerry Nichol Puppy Brain Training guide. We start at 3 days old with touch and handling. After 3 weeks of quarantine, pups are exposed to a multitude of sights, sounds, textures and smells. At 6 weeks commands and potty training are introduced along with socialization with outside individuals and other healthy dogs. All our puppies are health checked by veterinarian and all appropriate shots are given.
When pups reach 8 – 10 weeks, depending on the nature of the pup, they are introduced to an array of outside experiences and walking on a leash. All pups are raised in a loving home, surrounded by family.
All training is done with positive reinforcements and much patience in preparation for Service., Therapy, or Confirmation training. At Dearg na hEireann we love our Irish and will only provide the best of care and handling. Sales are closely monitored to only the those families who can provide an excellent home and recognize that Irish Setters need to work.

It is better to obtain a prescription for a service dog with the disability noted, that allows a purchase of an already-trained service dog. If there is a purchase of a pup or adoption of a dog it is important to know that the dog has a very good tempermant. Service dogs have saved lives.
